IAG presentation delivered at 8th UN-REDD Policy Board Meeting

On March 25-26 2012, Andy White and Jeffrey Hatcher (RRI) presented the outline of an independent policy paper on land tenure issues requested by the Policy Board during its previous meeting.

The Policy Board meeting took place at the Granados Park Hotel in Asunción, Paraguay.

IAG presentation delivered at 7th UN-REDD Policy Board Meeting

On 13 October 2011, Jutta Kill (FERN) delivered a presentation titled Rights‐based Financing for Forests and Climate. In response to this presentation, the Policy Board requested the development of an independent policy paper on land tenure issues.

The Policy Board meeting took place at the Steigenberger Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

Comments submitted to World Bank on REDD+ Stakeholder Engagement

Comments on the “Guidelines on Stakeholder Engagement in REDD+ Readiness with a Focus on the Participation of Indigenous Peoples and Other Forest-Dependent Communities” have been submitted to the World Bank.  They were compiled by members of the Independent Advisory Group on Forests, Rights and Climate Change – Forests Peoples Program and Rainforest Foundation Norway.  The comments can be downloaded from the Resources page.

IAG presents at 6th UN-REDD Policy Boad Meeting

DA LAT, VIETNAM (22 March 2011)–The Independent Civil Society Advisory Group today presented to the Sixth UN-REDD Policy Board Meeting in Da Lat, Vietnam.  The presentation – New Studies Challenge Basic Assumptions of REDD: Time for Mid-Course Corrections – can be found under the ‘Resources’ tab above.
